This style knife originated in 11th-century Indonesia as a versatile tool for everyday use, but quickly evolved into a formidable EDC force multiplier. 900 years ago this type blade may have been a commoners only edged tool, since larger more dangerous blades were highly restricted, yet this small curved knife has proven itself historically as more than enough for a man who can properly wield it. This Bone Tactical version simply modernizes the time proven design. Traditional curved blades, though iconic, often fail to meet modern needs, being bulky, impractical to carry, or poorly constructed. Enter the Bone Tactical Chakar—a modern, optimized solution built for performance, concealment, speed of access, ease of carry, and durability.

Key Features

  • Compact Yet Powerful: The curved blade delivers the slashing power of much larger knives while remaining discreet and easy to carry. Its design ensures that it's nearly impossible to lose, with the finger ring allowing secure grip and seamless transitions between close and medium ranges.
  • Ergonomic Design: Precision jimping and custom-molded contours provide maximum grip and usability in both standard and over-the-knuckles grip positions.
  • Dual-Functionality: A single sharpened edge enhances martial flow, while the unsharpened side works with the integrated bottle opener for trapping and hooking. This configuration also makes it legal in more jurisdictions (check local laws).
  • Custom Quality: Each Chakar is handcrafted from 3/16" top quality steel, heat-treated in house, ensuring every piece is a unique, heirloom-quality blade capable of hard use. Continuous field testing ensures ongoing improvements to design and performance.

Carry Options

  • Kydex Sheath: Modular and ambidextrous, specifically designed for inside-the-waistband (IWB) carry in civilian settings or attachment to kit in tactical applications.
  • Optional Leather Sheath: Luxurious, handmade from premium leather, the leather sheath available for separate purchase allows for comfortable OWB belt carry and quick access. Wearable vertically or horizontally, it’s an ideal choice for professional or casual environments.

Innovation Beyond Tradition

Bone Tactical was the first to incorporate a bottle opener on this style blade, slightly enhancing its functionality for trapping techniques, but greatly enhancing it's practical use. This thoughtful addition underscores the brand’s commitment to maximizing utility and capability in each tool, with the addition of a little extra style whenever possible. There are few, if any, more impressive knives that can be whipped out to pop the top on one's favorite capped beverage.

Every Bone Tactical Chakar is a finely crafted collector’s item designed for modern EDC while honoring the blade’s historic roots. Whether used for daily carry, or something more serious, it is built to perform when it matters most.

Perfect for what its’s designed to be

I own many knives, and many karambits. I was originally slow to purchase the Resolute Warrior because it’s rather expensive. After being not quite happy with the ones I had and watching the performance videos I decided to buy the Resolute warrior. I felt it would be the MOST effective easily conceal and carry Jean it on the market. I was correct. This is highly effective at being a close quarters self defense item. The design and geometry of the blade are perfect. The blade is RAZOR sharp. It fits perfectly in my hand, and its easily manipulated. The kydex sheath is very nice for quick drawing of the blade. It’s high quality fit and finish. It’s a real nice product with a lot of thought in its design.

Nicely done!!

Incredible Knife Insane Value

This knife is an absolute masterpiece, the amount of hand work that goes into each individually produced weapon. I believe Greg has mentioned other knives take anywhere between 80-140 hours to produce from the micarta handles. To the hardened blade surface traditional retention hole and beyond razor sharp edge and balance that allows for double strikes without losing the knife. Karambit pattern blades are extremely effective with the curve of the blade and the physics of cutting at angles similar to tiger claws. The fact that you get a blade of this handmade high quality with a good kydex sheath packaged in a beautiful spanish cider box is such a premium package. Keep the blade edge lubed with white lithium grease, its a high carbon steel thats essentially perfect all around except being prone to rust thus the durable coating. Knowing about this knife for this price feels like a well kept secret ive had two of them the generation 1 and now 2. If you picked out 100 random men in the united states who daily carry a knife this would by far be the most self defense effective out of those 100 blades.

Second to None!

BLUF: This karambit is perfect! I went with the Resolute Warrior version…what a beautiful piece of art. You will stare are it all night, as if it was a supermodel. I own other karambits and Bone’s by far outmatched them all. Very nice weight, ergonomics - no hot spots (handle is very smooth). Very sharp blade (like scary sharp, bro) right out of the box, the ring size is just right (not too big nor too small), the kydex sheath is very tactical (great retention and small footprint for easy concealment. It also came with a metal lanyard if you want to carry it around your neck), and finally the way it looks, man. 5 out of 5, hands down. If you are on the fence, just pull the trigger… you won’t be disappointed. Will get another one for my son.

Amazingly compact. Flawless sheath design. Sharp enough to cut the devil himself.
You would be surprised how consealsble and the same time accessable a knife like this could be. With the IWB belt clip you can have this knife anywhere on your waistline completely invisible to the naked eye. It fits snuggly and comfortably up against the body so you always know right where it is and remains hidden under whatever shirt you wear whether it's a concealed carry shirt or not.

This thing is wicked! I've never had a knife like this. Very fun to carry around. I actually bought the clip and attached it to a velcro band around my thigh! So I have something sneaky hidden under my shorts!

Overall a great knife comes EXTREMELY sharp. Ill use this as a combat only knife and keep my pocket knife on me for day to day tasks. Hell if you whip this out and start doing all the karambit flips and just stare at the perp Ill give it a 50/50 chance they just fuck off because of how intimidating this knife looks to the average eye. Only complaint I have is the IWB attachment clip system I bought with this came with the wrong sized chicago screw (too large) nothing a 79c trip to the hardware store cant fix, Keep it up bone.

I like the modern Warrior Karambit it feels good in the hand. You can hold it various ways. Of course its quality product just like my modern warrior edc CANK. I have the karambit set up to carry in the provided kydex sheath using 2 of the belt clips. Going to draw the karambit in the forward position like the colonel blade because I have not learned how to use a karambit the traditional way it was designed to be used. This modern warrior karambit will be effective either way you choose to hold it as bone tactical has well thought out designs for function and durability as well as ergonomics. Another great product from senior Bone tactical as expected.

As for the leather sheath, it is nice and the karambit sits tight in it. My only downside is that the snaps it kinda hard to close.

Very impressive. The blade is sharp, ergonomic, and well weighted. I am just impressed with the leather sheath. I was sceptical of a leather sheath for a tactical knife, but it is very well made and conceals beautifully. Not quite sure what I need such a capable fighting knife for, but if I ever need it, the knife won't fail. Honestly, 250 for everything, is a great value.
