Renowned worldwide for their strength, sharpness, and versatility; Bone Tactical tomahawks set the standard for the modern operator. Greg began designing the first Bone Hawk in 2013 to fill the market void for a more effective, stronger, and more modular tomahawk. The Bone Hawk became the first-ever tomahawk effectively tailored for the high speed modern warrior: dynamic entry, CQB, peripheral tasks, and bushcraft survival.
Before Bone Tactical, tomahawk designs had remained largely unchanged since Vietnam. The Bone Hawk's revolutionary full tang, dual-handle design brought new capabilities to the GWOT era.
Bone Breacher: The Pinnacle of Design and Craftsmanship
Now in its third generation, the Bone Breacher builds on the Bone Hawk’s success with an even larger, more advanced design. The largest tomahawk still capable of one-handed use, it is engineered for breaching and demo. Constructed from solid 3/8" differentially triple-hardened 4140 chromoly steel, it is virtually unbreakable. The shaft’s 20-30 Rockwell C scale hardness prevents energy transfer to the hand, reducing injuries, while striking surfaces at 57+ Rockwell ensure durability against hard impacts and great edge retention.
Tactical Features
- Multi-Use Design: Includes finger grooves for a CQB choke grip, an unsharpened beard for hooking, and a ribbed pry-bar pommel for trapping and joint manipulation techniques.
- Rear Spike & Tanto Arc: Maximized for hard material penetration, easy removal, and repeated strikes.
- Bushcraft Versatility: Curved blade excels in chopping, fine shaving, and woodwork.
- Hex Drivers: Added for weight reduction, strength, and practical utility.
Sheath System
The thermoplastic sheath is equipped with paracord and a quick-release buckle for secure "jumpable" retention. It also features eyelets compatible with virtually all aftermarket attachment clip systems. The design allows compliance enforcement while sheathed, and quick removal for escalation of force scenarios.
Handle Options
- Modern Warrior: Proprietary Micarta scales for a secure grip, lightweight durability, and shock absorption. Earth-tone finishes ensure low visibility.
- Resolute Warrior: Exotic Granadillo hardwood sourced ethically from Central American jungles. These hand-selected, sustainable handles are paired with bronze rivets for heirloom-quality aesthetics and toughness.
Precision and Practicality
The Bone Breacher excels at piercing steel doors, glass, concrete blocks, brick walls, kevlar armor, and more with its rear spike while the blade handles softer tasks like cutting organic mediums, and wood. The pry bar and nail puller pommel allow for it's use as a breaching assist tool. The heavy duty finish offers rust and corrosion resistance, with added friction reduction properties to enhance cutting and penetration capabilities.
Legacy and Adaptability
Bone Tactical continuously refines its designs based on field feedback from the field. Every piece is handcrafted for toughness, modularity, and low visibility... creating heirloom-quality tools capable of generations of hard use. Each tomahawk is unique, representing a fusion of artistry and tactical functionality.
The Bone Breacher represents the ultimate combination of modern engineering, skilled craftsmanship, and real-world expertise. Whether for CQB, bushcraft, or breaching, it stands as the strongest and most advanced large tomahawk available today.
